Since 1982, the company Polis Precis is involved in the manufacturing of tools for the Powder metallurgy industry.  

We produce powder compacting tools, injection molds type: MIM (Metal Injection Moulding) and CIM (Ceramic injection moulding) and extrusion dies.

From the 3D drawings of the piece before or after sintering, we are able to bring our advices and to produce a complete powder press tool with polishing and fitting of all the active parts. We take care also about the repairs, we can resize and cut the tools again

The introduction of reference clamping systems for pressing metal and ceramic powders saves assembly time and prevents tool breakage during assembly. It is therefore an economical solution. We have the possibility to manufacture the pressing tools with optional reference clamping systems (Progrit, System 3R, Erowa, …).               We invested in a punch alignment system for vertical compaction that can handle any type of positioning pallet (Erowa, 3R, Progrit).

Polis Précis provides customer-specific developments, concepts and solutions for:

Following our customers’ requests, we also produce some filler plates with carbide inserts or ceramics insert in order to avoid the wear.

Regarding the geometries of the final pieces, the multi axial compaction system is sometime superior to the MIM and CIM manufacturing process in terms of quickness and accuracy and can replace the MIM and CIM process.

 

Properties of carbides

the pressed powders are generally highly abrasive, carbide is the basic material for the manufacture of powder compression tools. We work in partnership with the European manufacturers of carbide.

We have chosen the most suitable grades for this area among all the manufacturers. The grades are corrosion resistant, wear resistant, high toughness and of course resistant to compression. No porosity is accepted.
